The Church Lady Speaks Elvis

It is estimated that Elvis Presley has sold over one billion record units worldwide, more than anyone in record industry history. In America alone, Elvis has had 150 different albums and singles that have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with more certifications expected as research into his past record sales continues and as current sales go on. Research is also underway to document his record sales achievements in other countries. It is estimated that 40% of Elvis' total record sales have been outside the United States.

"If I Can Dream" lyrics:

There must be lights burning brighter somewhere
Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue
If I can dream of a better land
Where all my brothers walk hand in hand
Tell me why, oh why, oh why can't my dream come true
There must be peace and understanding sometime
Strong winds of promise that will blow away
All the doubt and fear
If I can dream of a warmer sun
Where hope keeps shining on everyone
Tell me why, oh why, oh why won't that sun appear
We're lost in a cloud
With too much rain
We're trapped in a world
That's troubled with pain
But as long as a man has the strength to dream
He can redeem his soul and fly
Deep in my heart there's a trembling question
Still I am sure that the answer gonna come somehow
Out there in the dark, there's a beckoning candle
And while I can think, while I can talk
While I can stand, while I can walk
While I can dream, please let my dream
Come true, right now
Let it come true right now
Oh yeah

My stepfather looks like Elvis.

The closest Church Lady has been to Graceland is the time she went to FedEx headquarters in Memphis.

Churh Lady's favorite Elvis song (although all of them are pretty awesome) is "If I Can Dream" followed by "Jailhouse Rock" and "Blue Suede Shoes."

Does stepfather work in Las Vegas, or does he take his natural good looks in stride?

Elvis Presley imitated the singing style of Conway Twitty, and even performed some of the same songs. Conway Twitty stood still when he sang, so nobody remembers him.

I'd rather go to the FEDEX headquarters than Graceland. I've contributed more money to Fred Smith than I have to Elvis.

If I had a favorite Elvis song, it would be (I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You
If I had one, and I don't.
